the thompson and newberry studio was located deep in the suburbs of northern dallas in north eastern texas. recording equipment was computer-based and synthesizers were in both hardware and software. natural instruments were used where possible. recording was done in logic audio version four with a motu eight-twenty-eight firewire sound card. microphone recording was done with a rode ntk and studio projects c-three amplified by a behringer t-nineteen fifty-three tube pre-amplifier. drum sequencing was done in fruity loops three point one one. i was sorry, me and alfred were just too stupid to figure anything else out (for all you sequencing snobs out there), and we thought it was a great program. actual melodic and compositional parts were from the "heart".
